New Cars to watch out this year.
The Jazz Killer: Ford Fiesta
The much awaited Ford Fiesta will be released here in the Philippines by October 2010. This stylish yet economical (remember, it’s a Ford) 5-door hatchback is set to rival Market leader Honda Jazz, the now classic Suzuki Swift (seriously when will they revamp it?) and the newly released Mazda 2 hatch. It is to be marketed below Ford’s current hatch, the Focus which is also updated and said to be released by 2011.
The Civic’s Frenemy: Mazda 3
Since Mazda is still busy with the release of the 2007 model Mazda 2, rumor has it that the 2010 Mazda 3 would be released early next year.
The Korean crush: Hyundai Elantra [a.k.a AVANTE]
Hyundai has been coming up with edgy designs lately (remember the 2010 Tucson?). And as they climb up the Philippine Motoring Scene (they’re now the 3rd largest car seller in the country, pulling Honda down) it’s interesting to see how this Korean car maker is now a threat to Toyota’s reign. Anyway, we are still yet to determine when this new Elantra will be released here in the country, but yes it is a corolla-civic-mazda3 alternative worth considering.
